Little grippers on the reverse side of the rug provide stability. No need for an additional pad. The thickness of the rug is perfect. I initially purchased two rugs; one from My Magic Carpet and another "washable" rug from a different manufacturer. Both came about the same time. The Magic Carpet rug was gorgeous and perfect for my area. The other was pure junk....faded colors, very thin and (this is the one that got me) you couldn't vacuum the rug. hmmmm......you can't vacuum, but you can put it in the washing machine?I LOVED the rug that I purchased from My Magic Carpet so much that I purchased a second one. The new Magic Carpet was just as beautiful as the first! Don't be fooled by some of these companies! From now on it's only Magic Carpet for me!!Look great. A little thin and for 5x7 rug somewhat difficult to get into a traditional washer and dryerVery disappointed I bought one of these from my camper directly from magic carpet perfect not a problem this one I ordered through Amazon and it doesn’t seem to be a stick won’t lay flat and curls at the ends of rug causing a tripping hazardUsed this rug at the front door where there is a lot of foot traffic. Worked like a charm! Washed it without any issues. Have already purchased another one for another high traffic area.The carpet is non slip and machine washable. If it becomes soiled just toss it in the washing machine.I ended up using on top of my rug gable mat to give it more thickness.It’s beautiful!!I love it.
